A Brief Introduction to CoK Projects and Activities
One Year Diploma in Shariah
A well-designed one-year Shariah Diploma [Islamic studies] aims to provide students with a pathway for a holistic and deep understanding of Shariah principles from various perspectives and objectives. Besides a range of mainstream subjects of Islamic studies, CoK also offers students a very especial opportunity to learn ‘The Constitution and PPC (Pakistan Penal Code)’, ‘Modern Philosophy’, and ‘Islamic History’.
Ilm-e- Dīn Course
Ilm-e- Dīn Course aims at taking students with little or no knowledge of Islam to a deep understanding of the Glorious Qur’ān, Hadīth, Fiqh, Sīrah, Arabic Language, etc.
Weekly ‘Dars-e-Qur’ān and Sīrah Session
Qur’ān is the fountainhead of Divine guidance for all mankind. Acquiring a thorough understanding of the Glorious Quran is of paramount significance as it is the Quranic message sent to us from our Creator.
Book-Launch-Event
Occasionally, to introduce, appreciate, and encourage the authors, a wonderful Book-Launch-Event, entitled “Kitāb and Sahib-e-Kitāb” [A Book and its Author] is hosted by CoK Institute.
Study Circle
The ‘Research Library’ stands as a vibrant place where esteemed scholars and learned individuals from various universities and seminaries convene for a weekly “Study Circle” gathering.
Mukālamah
A distinctive session entitled “Mukālamah” is also held every so often, in which current and contemporary issues on Islām surfacing at ‘national and international levels’, especially highlighted on social media and electronic media, come under healthy discussion by intellectuals, experts, and the learned in a peaceful environment strictly following all discussion etiquette.
40 Ahādīth Course
A ‘40-Ahādīth Course’ is exclusively designed for kids observing its dire need. Amidst the era of evils and negative influence, it is mandatory to instill the teachings and values of Islam in our kids in a decent way so that our future generation contributes positively to righteous deeds and the welfare of others.

Dr. Umair Mahmood Siddiqui
Dr. Umair Mahmood Siddiqui is a Member Council of Islamic Ideology, a renowned Islamic scholar, a prominent public speaker, an assistant professor at the Department of Islamic Studies and Learning at the University of Karachi, and the founder of ‘City of Knowledge Islamic Research Institute’ (CoK) situated in Karachi, Pakistan. He also recently had the privilege of participating in the prestigious and highly regarded 25th session of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy held in Jeddah, representing Pakistan among 57 Muslim Countries and voicing Pakistan’s perspective, offering valuable insights and opinions on matters of importance.
Dr. Umair Mahmood Siddiqui has authored many books on different genres, including spirituality, ethics, Islamic philosophy, biographies, the ideology of Pakistan, and the challenges Muslims face in the modern world, aiming to address contemporary issues effectively. He has been immersed in teaching and research extensively over the course of years.
He is widely recognized for his remarkable ability to shed light on contemporary issues through the lens of Islamic teachings. He is frequently invited as a distinguished guest to prominent mainstream TV channels, where he eloquently shares his profound insights, opinions, and astute observations on the current issues arising in our contemporary society.
